Sawadee Ka!

In case you all were wondering if there was internet in Thailand, the answer is yes.  I just really haven't had time to sit down and give an update besides a little Facebook and time connecting with loved ones back home.

Thailand is great overall.  There are some things I wish I would have known, or done differently, but I will write about that as I have more time to sit and reflect about the past 2 weeks since I left Louisville.

Currently relaxing at a beach on Ko Samet island, south of Bangkok.  In a week or less I will be home in Louisville and will resume my work schedule after Thanksgiving.

I will update more soon,

Wrapping things up...

Going anywhere out of town takes careful planning and preparation. Not only are you packing to make sure that you'll have everything you need, but you also must secure that everything will be taken care of while you're gone. Currently going through bills and paperwork to make sure everything will be covered during November.

Happy to announce I've found a sub for my yoga classes: Christine Saladino at Yoga Twist on Life
Christine is great, new to Louisville and will sub from 10/31 until the end of November.

My last class will be on Wednesday, October 24 at 12:00pm and everyone is invited.  If you have a Shine class card, you're welcome to use that, but if you don't- the class is donation based- pay what you can and celebrate my upcoming trip!

I'm also putting together a "While I'm away" contact list for my clients.  Taking care of yourself is so important.  It's not good to have too long of a space between bodywork sessions.  Of course physical exercise and yoga can ease aches and pains, but personal attention, like massage and other healing arts, can really shift things around in your body.  I'll be posting a list on my Facebook page.

My other task besides packing, and business and personal matters is to secure a spot to crash in San Francisco.  I'm departing SFO at 1pm on 11/1.  Flying standby from Louisville to San Francisco on 10/29.  Any leads, hopefully near a BART stop, for a night or two would be great.

Sawadee, (the only Thai I know so far...)

Two weeks!

I have a little more than two weeks until I will be in Thailand! I am getting ready, making mental lists of what to pack and researching things to do. A friend I know who will be studying with me mentioned riding an elephant! I am not sure if I'll be on an elephant, but who knows? I am open to new experiences! I have two weeks of work left. This Saturday I was at the Lululemon showroom for an event and took donations that will go towards my trip. I may have another event or yoga class that will be donation based before my trip, stay tuned for more info! I just had tea with a friend who traveled to Bali in September and we talked about the long flight. I will be in the same airplane for 19 hours. My total travel time from Louisville to Bangkok will be around 36 hours. Right now I am looking for ways to fill that time. Any ideas readers?

Six weeks until Thailand!

I have about six weeks until I will be in Thailand.  I am going with my dear teachers, Mukti and Sudevi from the Vedic Conservatory to study at the Sunshine Massage School in Chang Mai.
I will be in Thailand for about three weeks.  I am so excited!
Keep checking back for more information about my trip.

I am accepting donations for my trip.  Also, if you're in the Louisville area I'll soon be announcing ways to support my trip and get massage therapy, too!
